A free clinic to test drinking water from private wells in Afton will be offered next week.

Officials from the city and the state Department of Agriculture will test water samples for nitrate, the most common contaminant in Minnesota’s groundwater, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. June 20 at Afton City Hall.
